Ruth attended Washington Hospital School of Nursing in Western PA. After moving to Charlotte, Ruth received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from UNCC. She has been honored with the Great 100 Nurses in North Carolina award.
Her extensive GI nursing experience has afforded her many opportunities to speak before groups and corporations on various topics, including colon cancer screening and celiac disease. She also teaches CPR and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Ruth has three cats and three children, who all live in Charlotte. A native of the Washington DC/Maryland area, she still pulls for her home football team–the Washington Redskins.
