Fan Friday at Charlotte Gastro

Charlotte Gastro offices celebrated “Fan Friday” on September 15 in honor of the Carolina Panthers’ first regular season home game. Each Friday, staff may choose to donate $2.50 to wear jeans. 100% of the money collected goes to the Colon Cancer Coalition, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America, and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As an added bonus on Fan Fridays, they also get to sport their favorite NFL tops.

Endoscopic Ultrasound

Endoscopic ultrasound is a minimally invasive procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to produce highly detailed images of the lining and walls of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. These sound wave-produced images are used to determine the cause of symptoms of abdominal pain, or to diagnose or determine the spread of certain types of cancer.
