WSOC-TV 9 Food Drive donates nearly 27,000 pounds of canned food with Charlotte Gastroenterology support
Charlotte, NC – Nearly 27,000 pounds of food were donated by community members for the Channel 9 Food Drive Wednesday.
Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology staff members were present at special drop-off day at the WSOC-TV studio, Wednesday June 15 with a tent, table, and gifts. Staff greeted the community, thanked them for their donations, and helped with the drop-off process.
WSOC-TV and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina have partnered to help provide meals for thousands of people in need.
The will supply over 18,000 individual meals for the community.
Wednesday’s 9 Food Drive was the most successful collection day in the history of the 9 Food Drive.
For the past 16 years, WSOC-TV and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina have partnered to end area hunger through the 9 Food Drive.
