Charlotte Gastroenterology sponsors Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleStride 2023

Charlotte Gastroenterology will join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) on Saturday, April 29^th as a Premiere Sponsor of the organization’s PurpleStride® Charlotte We have sponsored PanCAN PurpleStride for 10 consecutive years.

In order to help improve patient outcomes, Charlotte Gastroenterology has united to create Team Charlotte Gastro to wage hope. Funds raised through this nationwide movement fuel life-changing programs and services for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. For the month of April, we are encouraging everyone to wear purple on Fridays in light of pancreatic cancer awareness.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 29^th at Romare Bearden Park with the opening ceremony starting at 8 a.m. Charlotte Gastroenterology will have a sponsor table, and Raj Dalsania, MD will be the event speaker.

Endoscopic Ultrasound

Endoscopic ultrasound is a minimally invasive procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to produce highly detailed images of the lining and walls of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. These sound wave-produced images are used to determine the cause of symptoms of abdominal pain, or to diagnose or determine the spread of certain types of cancer.
