Team CGH raised over $4,600 and had 20 members for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network’s PurpleStride Charlotte. This year’s event was held at Marshall Park in Center City Charlotte on Saturday, September 12. Overall, the 2015 Charlotte 5K run/walk has raised over $262,000 which goes toward pancreatic cancer research and support for those affected by the disease.

Endoscopic Ultrasound

Endoscopic ultrasound is a minimally invasive procedure that combines endoscopy and ultrasound to produce highly detailed images of the lining and walls of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. These sound wave-produced images are used to determine the cause of symptoms of abdominal pain, or to diagnose or determine the spread of certain types of cancer. Radiofrequency Ablation for Barrett's Esophagus

Radiofrequency ablation is a treatment used for Barrett's esophagus which uses radio waves to kill precancerous and cancerous cells in the Barrett’s tissue.
