107.9 The Link’s Matt Harris discusses colon cancer screening

107.9 The Link’s Matt Harris recently joined Laura Palka on The Daily Two to discuss his colonoscopy procedure and the importance of getting screened for colorectal cancer. After turning 50, Matt decided it was time to get screened and decided to visit Charlotte Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Since his screening, Matt regularly discusses the importance of this simple procedure. Listeners have called into The Matt & Ramona show to tell their stories, including one gentleman who was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer and states that if it weren’t for listening to the show, he would have never been screened. Now he has started treatment that could save his life.

In addition to discussing screenings on their show, Matt and Ramona joined Charlotte Gastro at the Colon Cancer Coalition’s Get Your Rear in Gear 5K, where Matt placed 1st in his age group. Please view The Daily Two video below to see Matt encouraging others to get screened.

Endoscopic Ultrasound
